My very first entry for 2012 comes with the debut of my new pair of Church’s McPherson brogues, which I bought on sale last year from Mr. Porter. These photos were shot yesterday when the whole world was still in 2011. How time flies and the weather changes, today we’re all snow and the streets are filled with slush. Yeah, these shoes have trudged on winter grounds already. The chunky rubber soles, which I love, are built for this kind of weather. These handsome leather brogues in light ebony are said to be manufactured in the same Northampton, England factory since 1957. There’s even a handwritten notation (shoe size, model) on the inner leather lining – a nice touch if you ask me.

They say that Church’s quintessential British shoes will last you a lifetime. At least I know they got my feet covered for at least the rest of 2012. Have an amazing new year my dear friends and readers! Here’s to new adventures.
